Sto. A family history

Sto’s success story started in 1954 in the German town of Stühlingen. Back then, Fritz Stotmeister – the son of Wilhelm Stotmeister – had a sixth sense to invest in a new product at the right time: an organic render from Swiss inventor Silvio Pietroboni. Ispo-Putz KG was founded based on the new synthetic resin render. From what was once a three-man operation, Fritz Stotmeister created an international company which now has more than 5700 employees worldwide.

Tradition & responsibility

To this day, Sto is a family business whose destiny continues to be shaped by members of the owning Stotmeister family. This brings benefits in many respects: we act responsibly and maintain close, personal contact with our market partners. We offer comprehensive advice and take care of projects from the initial planning stage right through to the very last detail.

The family as a success factor also forms the focus for our workforce in that we create an environment marked by mutual respect and clear identification with the company.
